To re-prove himself and demonstrate that he was worthy of the Master Sword, Link had to collect all three Pendants of Virtue.

During his adventure on Koholint Island, Link made the Animal Village cook very happy by giving him the Honeycomb. In return, Link received the Pineapple. Link made similar trades like this with many of the island's inhabitants, and in the end his kindness was rewarded with the Magnifying Glass.

The King of Evil was not completely defeated, but he was once again securely sealed within the Dark World.
