Located north of the Ukuku Prairie and south of the Tal Tal Mountains, Kanalet Castle is the oldest standing structure on Koholint Island. The castle was once home to a royal family who governed the island, but the monarchy has long since crumbled. The last person with royal blood to inhabit Kanalet Castle was Richard, but he was run out of the castle by his own servants.

Kanalet Soldiers once patrolled the Kanalet Castle on Koholint Island. These soldiers overthrew the royal family and tried to form a new kingdom on their own, but they were unable to create a peaceful balance of power. Link faced many of these warriors while collecting Richard's five Golden Leaves.

Found on Koholint Island, the Key Cavern is one of the eight dungeons Link conquered during his quest to wake the Wind Fish. In the Cavern, Link found the Pegasus Boots and defeated Slime Eyes to get the Sea Lily Bell.

Kholdstare was the guardian of the Ice Palace, where Link recovered a magical Crystal on his quest to unlock the entrance to Ganon's Tower. Kholdstare was embedded in a block of ice when Link first set eyes on it, but soon it was Kholdstare whose eyes were flying around the room trying to get more than just a friendly glance at Link.

Kinstones are mysterious items said to bring happiness when fused. There are four different colors of Kinstones, and multiple types within each color. The effects of green Kinstone fusions are typically random. Red and blue fusions will produce the same results every time. Gold Kinstone fusions trigger unique events that happen only once.

Koholint Island is a mysterious place. Believed to lie far off the coast of Eastern Hyrule in the Great Sea, Koholint Island was the stage for one of Link's most challenging quests. There is great debate about the existence of this small but diverse island, since Link was never able to determine whether the island truly existed or if it was just the product of an elaborate dream. For scientific purposes, it is treated as a real location in this encyclopedia.

The children of the Kokiri Forest were many, living under the protection of their guardian fairies and the Great Deku Tree. Most Kokiri, such as Saria, were friends to Link. Unfortunately, all of the Kokiri Children were forced to endure the bully, Mido, who never hesitated to tease Link, the only boy without a fairy. As long as the Kokiri Children stayed in the forest, they would never grow old.

The Kokiri Forest is most famous for being the place where Link spent his early childhood. Under the ever-watchful and wise Great Deku Tree, the Kokiri Forest continues to flourish with the essence of life.
